Feces are collected in a container below the floor The fecal matter falls into a container, where it is partially dried out. Urin är en fantastisk källa till växtnäring, så när dunken/behållaren är full så rekommenderas det att använda det i den egna trädgården. Urinen blandas med vatten och kan vattnas med i rabatter, gräsmatta eller annan odling. Om detta inte är möjligt finns det många jordbrukare som gärna tar emot urinen. Fekalier Fekalierna faller ner genom ett svart rör till en behållare under golvet. Till exempel till en EcoDry BOX (eller en trädgårdstunna, ett förmultningsrum eller annan egentillverkad behållare) där en fläkt är att monterad som kontinuerligt torkar ut och avluftar avfallet och toaletten. Eftersom fekalierna inte har urin eller vatten i sig, och en fläkt används, så väger avfallet väldigt lite och är perfekt förberett för vidare kompostering i en latrinkompost.
